Dev update | 3rd April 2023

Greetings everyone! It’s been a while since our last development update. So here is yet another great one to share with all of you!

To start things off, we have some fantastic news to share about Elevatex, currently in its Alpha stage. Our most recent addition is the VATSIM frequency changer, which enables users to easily handle frequency changes during bustling events or high-stress situations.

But wait, there's more! ELEVATEX now collaborates with Navigraph, granting access to up-to-date AIRAC cycles (non Navigraph subscribers will use an older AIRAC cycle), airport details, runway and approach data, and even airport gates (where available) for enhanced ground operation planning. Additionally, high and low airways are displayed on the map, offering a complete perspective of the airspace for superior flight route planning and navigation.

We are also delighted to reveal that ELEVATEX has undergone a rebranding, complete with a fresh logo that has been updated on the app, Discord and is being applied to other sections of ELEVATEX.

Besides, we've optimized the scenery scanning for ELEVATEX, making it much more efficient in identifying installed sceneries for MSFS, P3D, and X-Plane.

Additionally, there has been a new “view” created titled Departure and Arrival Information, which employs your SimBrief OFP and has a built-in METAR request functionality. The Origin and Destination pages, on the other hand, streamline the SimBrief OFP for user convenience for easy access to important bits of information, with automated METAR fetching so you can get started with your flight without needing to find the required information from multiple sources.

Furthermore, we introduced a feature that automatically monitors flights and lets you stop tracking automatically, providing you with more control over your experience. This feature can be enabled or disabled based on your preference. Tracking starts automatically on off-blocks and completes the flight when on-blocks.

With aircraft like the PMDG that have panel state saving, and momentarily freezes your sim, you will notice that during a long haul, your in-sim Zulu time can get quite far behind the real-life time during auto-saves. The “Keep time synchronized” feature will take care of resyncing your in-sim time as soon as this falls behind 60 seconds of reality.

Finally, we also introduced multi-language support, currently supporting English and Dutch within the application, with more languages to follow in the future. Translators are always welcome!

Stay safe, take care, and watch out for more updates in the future!
